How we work - the steps to getting a new kitchen

plans1. The Brief
Consider what you want from your new kitchen

  • How you want it to look- what woods/ materials you like, consider the space as a whole.
  • How you use the space- formal dining / informal get togethers
  • Consider what you liked/ dislike about your current or previous kitchen. Images of kitchens or furniture you liked should be collected as it will help us incorporate these into our proposal
  • What appliances are essential/ desirable

2. Call to our showroom
Schedule an appointment with one of our designers and call to our showroom, bringing along a floor plan of the space, with essential measurements included.

3. Design Proposal
We will put together an initial design proposal based upon our meeting and the brief. We will get quote for the work, pricing worksurfaces and recommended appliances. This price is

4. Booking & Design development
Once you have decided that you would like us to design and craft your new kitchen we require a 10% deposit. From there we will develop the design further, going through the detailing very closely. Our designer will call to your home to survey; we will then issue a full service drawing indicating the locations of all necessary service points such as water, waste and power. We can recommend other trades which we have worked with in association with in the past.

5. Final drawings and sign off
We take great care in developing the design, taking as much time to give you the kitchen of your dreams. Once all details have been confirmed we issue final working drawings and client checklist for sign off before we manufacture. As all our kitchens are custom made in our workshops in Wexford (see link to map page here) the lead times can vary depending upon time of year and complexity of the kitchens we are making at the time but generally 4-8 weeks is required from date of order to beginning of installation

6. Installation

Once we have called to our house and deemed it suitable for installation our highly trained fitters call to begin install your new kitchen. We take our time in installing your furniture as we understand that this is a considerable investment both financially and emotionally and that this furniture will be with you for a long time. Installation generally takes 2 weeks, but this varies with every kitchen.

7. Final commission

After our installation team has completed, our designer will call back to check every detail, going through all the systems of the kitchen with you the client. Our designers are available at all times through the process to answer any questions you may have and offer our advice. Once all details are finalised and you are happy with all details we ask for final payment- we do not feel it necessary to take stage payments along the way.

8. Enjoy……!

At this stage we hope the kitchen brings many years happy service and is truly the heart of your home….
